Quick Start Guide

Get your clinic live in under 15 minutes — account, team, schedule, and first appointment.

Prerequisites

Before you start you will need:


  • A registered email address
  • Your clinic name, address, and phone number
  • A logo file (PNG or SVG, minimum 200 x 200 px)
  • Email addresses for any doctors or staff you want to invite

Clinit works in any modern browser. No software installation required.

Create your account

  1. Go to doctor.clinit.app and click Start Free Trial.
  2. Enter your email address and choose a secure password.
  3. Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link.
  4. You will land on the Clinic Setup Wizard automatically.

Your 30-day free trial starts the moment you confirm your email. No credit card is required to begin.

Clinic profile

The setup wizard walks you through five fields:


  1. Clinic Name — appears on all invoices, reminders, and the patient portal.
  2. Primary Specialty — select Dental, Optical, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Cardiology, Physiotherapy, or General Medicine. You can add more specialties later under Settings > Specialties.
  3. Logo — drag-and-drop or browse.
  4. Address and Phone — used on invoices and the public self-booking page.
  5. Time Zone and Working Hours — sets the calendar baseline for all doctors.

Click Save & Continue when done.

Add your first doctor

  1. Go to Settings > Team > + Add Doctor.
  2. Enter their name, specialty, and email — they receive an invitation link.
  3. Set their Working Hours for each day of the week.
  4. Assign an Appointment Colour so their slots are visually distinct on the shared calendar.

The invited doctor receives an email with a one-click sign-in link. The link is valid for 48 hours. You can resend from Settings > Team.

Configure appointment types

Go to Settings > Appointment Types > + New Type.


For each type (e.g. New Patient Consultation, Follow-up, Procedure) set:

  • Duration: default slot length in minutes
  • Price: default fee, pre-filled on new invoices
  • Buffer Time: gap added after each appointment
  • Colour: visual coding on the calendar
  • Online Booking: toggle whether this type is publicly bookable

You can create as many types as you need. Prices can be overridden per appointment.

Book your first appointment

  1. Open Calendar from the sidebar.
  2. Click any empty time slot — a New Appointment panel slides in.
  3. Search for a patient by name or phone number. If they are new, click + New Patient.
  4. Select the appointment type, confirm the time, and click Save.

The appointment appears on the calendar immediately. If you have WhatsApp reminders configured, a confirmation message is sent to the patient automatically.
